Dear Emmy,
Today you are 8 weeks old. Everyone talks about how fast the times goes, and they’re right. Even though we are sleep deprived and still learning how to juggle the needs of 2 kids, these past 8 weeks have been just wonderful. I can’t imagine our family without you.
You are following in your big sister’s footprints in terms of being, well, brilliant. Abby took her first steps on her first birthday, despite being in a body cast for two months of her life, not to mention a brace for several more months. And today, on your 8 week birthday, you rolled over from your tummy to your back. You are so advanced that my friend Kim suggested it was probably a fluke, but then I watched you again during “tummy time” and you almost did it a second time. You go girl.
